HEAD CINEMATOGRAPHER / EDITOR
Michael’s decades of experience in cinematography began as a commercial helicopter pilot in Los Angeles, capturing footage for the evening news. He combined studies in Wildlife Biology at the University of Montana with filming, video production and technical direction on campus and at KPAX News in Missoula.
His numerous credits include pioneering innovative high-definition video kiosks, work with NASA, Discovery Channel, CBS News, and many others. Mike shoots with the excellent RED digital cameras, among the best tools available for stunning, ultra-high resolution results.
Michael has teamed with Tempest Technologies in creating travel and tourism oriented videos for Central and Southwest Montana, as well as the first in a series of full-length Blu-Ray DVDs for The Parks Project (See Glaciernationalparkdvd.com)
CHIEF PILOT / CAMERAMAN
“Helicopter” Mike is one of the world’s most experienced helicopter pilots, with over 10,000 hours of flight time commanding some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the most demanding situations. He has piloted in many continents, in construction, rescue, wild land fire fighting (even at night with night vision goggles), high value transportation and cinematography. Many of the iconic aerials you have viewed of famous events in Los Angeles were likely shot by Mike.
We are fortunate to count Mike Moore as one of our colleagues at Digital Aerial Media. His vast experience and skills allow us to capture images for our productions that are truly breathtaking.
TECHNICAL SERVICES DIRECTOR / UAV OPERATOR / CAMERAMAN
Christian is truly a jack-of-all-trades in many fields, with expertise in computers, camera systems and unmanned aerial platforms. He is also a skilled automobile and motorcycle mechanic and holds a degree in nursing from the University of Montana, along with numerous other certifications. Christian works with leading UAV retailer Quadrocopter, where he has acquired a sterling reputation as pilot, trainer and repair guru, helping many of the world’s top photographers to use cutting-edge equipment in their work. He is the “complete package” when it comes to the use of UAS in cinematography. His recent camera and UAS work includes the 2016 Indy 500 and other out-of-state assignments.
ACTION / SPORTS CAMERAMAN
Drew is another multi-talented member of the Digital Aerial Media team. He is both a successful real estate agent with ReMax of Bigfork, and the owner of the Flathead Wakeboard Academy. His skill and knowledge in both of these areas enable him to make important contributions to our video projects.
Drew attended Montana State University, where he studied business and economics. He is definitely a Montana outdoorsman, with years devoted to water sports, hunting, and extreme sports. Drew leverages this background to manifest remarkable camera locations and perspectives with a variety of cameras.
Ed attended the University of California, at Davis where he majored in political science and economics, then Berkeley in the graduate schools of law and business administration. His early career was focused in commercial real estate finance and investment in California and Colorado. He relocated to Montana to work with drone company Birds Eye of Big Sky, where he was instrumental in the growth of the business eventually leading to assignments in film (HBO, PBS, NatGeo and major motion pictures) and other UAS technology applications.
Ed has moderated panels and taught seminars in aerial drone technology and film making, and has worked extensively in UAS permitting, regulations and administration, having interfaced with the FAA, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Montana Film Office and numerous other officials and agencies.
He is a lifelong film enthusiast, and looks forward to helping you work with Digital Aerial Media to produce videos of quality, memorability and substance.
